Reporter leads unexplained so far

  1. RWI-SITREP-011-L1Night fires on the west Zawiya coast, 11 Aug – 11 Sep (carried from SITREP 010, L4) — still unexplained

Where / when32.788–32.793N 12.624–12.643E, four nights. Before/after imagery (4 Aug, 13 Sep) shows a large pale open yard (red box) and a walled compound (orange box) on the coast road, unchanged (Plates F3–F4)

Whyno scorch, no new structures, no change at 10 m; the fires were brief and small. Nothing reported.

Would settle itwhat the yard and compound are; local reports for 11 and 22 Aug and 7 and 11 Sep.

  2. RWI-SITREP-011-L2Night fires south of Sabratha, 27 Aug (carried from SITREP 010, L3) — still unexplained

Where / when32.623–32.627N 12.465–12.471E; before and after imagery (24 and 29 Aug) show a walled compound with a pale yard and a dark pool or tarp beside it; the dark patch is larger and darker on 29 Aug (Plates F1–F2)

Whythe only change in the frame is at the compound itself. Too small to call a burn scar at 10 m.

Would settle itwhat the compound is; local reports for the early hours of 27 Aug.

Summary

The UAE Presidential Flight landed in Ottawa at 15:37 EDT for the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's visit; a USAF VIP jet (SPAR75) landed at Chièvres beside SHAPE, unannounced. New heat on the Zaporizhzhia front and next to Chabelley airfield in Djibouti (likely its burn pit). DECODEDELTA1: both Zawiya blackouts now confirmed; a daily landing watch on western Libyan airfields goes live tomorrow; the flight scan back to 1 January is running.
